Sandpiper Origin Story

During the pandemic, I launched a small experiment called “Try Before You Buy.” The core concept was straightforward: turn unsold homes sitting empty on the market into short-term rentals.

It was a promising idea until the real estate market exploded and homes started selling overnight, wiping out my original market almost instantly.

Then, a client asked a question that changed everything: “Why don’t you find me a monthly renter for my other vacation rental instead?”

That shift opened up a whole new opportunity. When generative AI took off, I borrowed my son’s account to build a quick promo video testing the concept. The response was immediate—property owners began signing up in droves, and Sandpiper was officially born.
